Government Officials using Voice Mail clearly to avoid contact with the people that pay their salaries.
At least for Ministries notorious … voice mail on and off course because conveniently they never delete you can’t leave a message … one particular Department, they never return calls.
Seems post COVID General Orders went out the window. Madam Minister of Public Service, I have great hope on reading this you will dictate Voice mail may only be used in the rarest of times....ail calls must be returned within the same day and all emails also.
Publish a List of Secretaries to Ministers because sending emails to Ministers is a total waste of time unless copied to the secretary.
Has General Orders been scrapped and no one knows? Without it there is no proof of sending mail — receiving and if responding. Critical and essential for transparency.
Yours - just tried two Government Offices- oh that Voice Mail!
