Man accused of stealing solar panels from Bahamas Harvest Church

A MAN was granted $7,000 bail yesterday after he allegedly stole $21,218.22 worth of solar panels from Bahamas Harvest Church over the summer. 

Senior Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans charged Dano Hunt, 34, with receiving, three counts of stealing and three counts of unlawful entry. 

Hunt is alleged to have illegally entered the Bahamas Harvest Church Eastern Campus storage room between July 27 and 31, stealing 18 solar panels valued at $21,218.18. During the same timeframe, he  allegedly stole a solar battery valued at $398. 

After pleading not guilty, as a term of Hunt’s bail, he must sign in at the Fox Hill Police Station every Sunday. He is also expected to be fitted with a monitoring device.

Hunt’s trial begins on March 4, 2024.
