Man gets over two years jail for attempted robbery

A MAN was sentenced to 28 months in prison after admitting to breaking into a woman’s home and attempting to steal a safe last week.

Magistrate Algernon Allen, Jr, charged Tearan Cartwright, 43, with housebreaking and attempted stealing.

Cartwright is accused of breaking into Teashaona Gibson’s home on Thompson Lane in an attempt to steal a pink coloured safe for $125.

After pleading guilty, Cartwright was sentenced to prison for two years and four months.
