AN American tourist was fined yesterday after admitting to having drugs in New Providence earlier this week.
Magistrate Samuel McKinney charged Eli Arakanchi, 52, of Hallandale Beach, Florida, with possession of dangerous drugs.
Ian Cargill represented the accused.
The defendant was found with seven grams of methamphetamines on January 22 in New Providence.
Following his guilty plea, the defendant was fined $500 or risk a one-month prison term.
