THE Ministry of Education has honoured 80 retirees who dedicated between ten and 40 years of service.
The honourees included former assistant directors, deputy directors, district superintendents, master teachers, school security guards, and an array of officers who served in the ministry’s headquarters and satellite offices.
The honourees were presented with service awards for 20 years and less, 20 plus years, 30 plus years, and 40 plus years.
In attendance were Minister of Education and Technical and Vocational Training Glenys Hanna Martin and former Education Ministers Jeffrey Lloyd, Jerome Fitzgerald, and Desmond Bannister.
The former ministers, who served during the work life of many of the retirees in attendance, thanked the retirees for their service and congratulated them on their retirement.
