A MAN accused of burglary and damaging his electronic monitoring device was remanded to prison yesterday.
Prosecutors allege that Levardo Mezidore, 30, broke into Altarrio Mitchell’s Eastern Road home between 11am on January 16 and 5am on January 17.
While on bail for pending offences, Mezidore allegedly damaged a black electronic monitoring device belonging to Migrafill between January 21, 2025, and May 18.
The device is valued at $850.
Mezidore pleaded not guilty to burglary and causing damage before Senior Magistrate Raquel Whyms.
Inspector 2257 Wilkinson, the prosecutor, objected to bail, citing the seriousness of the charges and the risk to public safety if Mezidore were released.
Mezidore was denied bail and remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.
His trial is scheduled to begin on August 19.
Alphonso Lewis represented Mezidore.
