A 15-YEAR-OLD girl was accused of threatening a police officer with a handgun on Dunmore Street last week.
Prosecutors allege the girl, whose name is being withheld because she is a minor, assaulted Corporal 4092 Mackey with a handgun at about 10.20am on September 20.
During the same incident, she allegedly behaved disorderly, assaulted Corporal Mackey and Police Constable 109 Minnis, resisted arrest and used obscene language to the annoyance of the officers.
She was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest, disorderly behaviour, obscene language and two counts of assaulting a police officer.
The girl pleaded not guilty to assault with a deadly weapon before Magistrate Abigail Farrington, but pleaded guilty to the remaining charges.
Her mother was present for the arraignment.
The girl was remanded to the Willie Mae Pratt Centre for Girls until February 3, when she is due to return to court for sentencing and trial.
Reserve Inspector Deveaux prosecuted the case.
