Bahamian karting driver Lenox Lockhart closed out his 2026 Italian ACI Karting Championship campaign with another strong showing in Europe, finishing fifth in the MINI Gr.3 pre-final at Leopard Circuit Viterbo in Italy.

The 11 year old Parolin Motorsport driver competed in the fifth and final round of the championship against a competitive international field, adding another solid result to his first season racing in Europe.

Lockhart’s fifth place finish earned him 17 championship points under the official ACI Sport scoring system.

The result also capped a campaign that has seen the young Bahamian continue to gain experience against some of the leading junior karting drivers and teams in Europe.

Lockhart made an early statement at the opening round of the Italian Championship at South Garda Karting in Lonato, where he recorded the fastest overall qualifying time in MINI Gr.3.

His 53.892 second lap placed him at the top of a 68 driver field that featured competitors from several of Europe’s leading karting programs.

The performance at Viterbo added to that progress as Lockhart continued to compete near the front of the field during a championship that has provided him with valuable experience at the international level.

While the fifth place pre final result has been confirmed, Lockhart’s final race classification and overall championship position remain provisional pending the completion of ACI Sport’s official post race review.

Those results will be updated once the governing body confirms the final classifications.

Lockhart’s season, however, is not finished.

The young Bahamian is scheduled to continue his European campaign with the WSK Final Cup, with Round 2 set for October 21 to 25 at South Garda Karting in Lonato, Italy.

He is also set to pursue another international opportunity at the Champions of the Future, with Round 4 scheduled for October 30 to November 1 at Muscat Speedway in Muscat, Oman.

The upcoming races will give Lockhart another opportunity to compete against international competition as he continues building his experience and establishing himself on the European karting scene.

After making his presence felt during his first Italian Championship campaign, the Bahamian youngster now turns his attention to the next stage of his European racing schedule.
