A MAN was accused of stabbing another man in Coconut Grove on Sunday, leaving him seriously injured.
Prosecutors allege Shaquille Sands, 33, attacked Cameo Bain with a knife on Sixth Street on September 27, causing him grievous harm.
Sands pleaded not guilty to grievous harm and assault with a dangerous instrument before acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans.
He was denied bail and remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services, where he will undergo a psychological evaluation.
Inspector Deon Barr, the prosecutor, objected to bail, citing the seriousness of the offence and Sands' previous convictions for similar offences.
In 2021, Sands was sentenced to six months in prison for causing harm after he stabbed the mother of his child in the left thigh and right wrist.
He returns for trial on October 21
