Funeral Service for Ernest Monroe, 85, of Woods Street, Ridgeland Park West and formerly of Exuma will be held on Saturday September 1st, 2012 at 11:00am at The Salvation Army, Meadow and West Street. Officiating will be Majors Oral and Marcia Morris. Interment will follow in Southern Cemetery, Spikenard and Cowpen Road.

Left to cherish his fond memories are his wife: Leila Ann Monroe; sons: Ernest Jr., Marvin and Erine Monroe; step daughter: Perrymae McDaniel of Sarasota, Florida; grandchildren: Marvin Jr., Megan, Jonathan, Nathan and Ethan Munroe; step grandchildren: Van Adderley, Avon and Peter Higgs and Dericka Rolle; sister: Kathlene Moxey; step great grandchildren: Van Jr. Vanadesha, Laquell and Omarion Adderley, Aveano and Gracie Higgs, Tayda Rolle and Arihanna Cleare; sister-in-law: Mary Murphy of New York; daughter-in-law: Anastasia Forbes-Monroe; nieces: Brenda McKenzie, Joan Farrington, Gaylene Edwards, Suzanne Knowles, Renee Smith, Jackie, Sherry, Donna, Debra and Karen Moxey, Lillian Forbes of Freeport, Roseann Carey, Yvonne and Prescola McKinney; nephews: Joe Montel ,Rudolph Hanna of Freeport, Patrick McKinney of Atlanta, Georgia, William McKinney, Leonard Burrows, Samuel and Michael Burrows of Exuma, Kenneth Burrows of Freeport and Dereck Moxey ; grand nephews: Ricardo Green, Jerome Bethel of West Palm Beach, Florida, Michael Stuart Jr., grand nieces: Dorothy Deveaux, Sophie Shaiff, Brickel and Michella Stuart, Mallisa and Judy Johnson, India Eaford and Rochelle Alexander; great grandnieces: Vanity and Vonette Clarke, Ivana Prisclla Shaiff, Hailie, Roachell, Rictavia; great grandnephews: Shazard Ferguson Jr. and Lamount Mcphee Jr., Wellington Sears Jr., Keith Gray, Treventin, Drakar, Ricardo Green, Mataio, Takari, Deaveon Maliki Stuart; great great grandniece: Samiyah Rahming; and a host of other relatives and friends including Corp. 539 Davon Stubbs and family, Nixon family, Linda Burrows and family, Edgecombe family, Farrington family, Nurse Lisa Bastian and family and Collie family.

Viewing will be held in the Perpetual Suite at Restview Memorial Mortuary and Crematorium Ltd., Robinson and Soldier Roads on Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00pm; and again at the church on Saturday from 10:00am until service time.
