Funeral service for Arthur Harcourt Johnson Sr., 89, of Scott Street; off Johnson Road and formerly of James Cistern Eleuthera, will be held on Saturday, June 23rd, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Pilgrim Baptist Church, St. James Road. Officiating will be Pastor Leroy N. Major, assisted by other Ministers of Religion. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Gardens Cemetery, Solider Road.

Arthur is predeceased by his wife: Jane Louise Johnson
Left to cherish his memory are his Daughters; Pet Major, Lydia Lockhart, Cynthia Maysie and Greta Johnson, Sonia Styles and Darnell Roker; Sons: Van Sr. and Arthur Johnson Jr., Adopted children; Reggie and Ann Johnson; Grand children: Andrea, Teddy, Regina, Rayann, Carlto Jr., Captain Torrey Lockhart, Tamara, Nehemiah and Santoi Smith, Alexia, Arthur 11, Val Jr., Mel, Joel, Felcia, Fred Jr., Dario, Daria, Dino, Danere, Thono, Tristan, Christopher Jr., Christopher Jr., and Lorenz Deuce, Darron and Lardasia Sands; Great Grand Children: Keva, Tarnisha, Basil Jr., Latovia, Stephen Jr., Manny, Teddy Jr., Terranique, Austin, Ashton, Ashley, Antonio, Rhianna, Desmond, Raymond, Brandon, Kevin, O’Neil, Jadore, Jason Jr., Sana’a, Lakeno and Janae; Great Great Grand Children: Greg Jr., Kellice, Jasmine, Rannisha, A.J. and Nathan; Sisters: Vernal Johnson, Arimentha Nottage, Evangelist Isabelle Rolle, Barbara Coleman, Shirley Johnson McCloud of Miami, FL and Monica Hart of New York, Brother David Johnson of Miami, FL.; Sister-in-law: Norah Johnson; Brothers-in-law: Paul Coleman of Miami FL., and Ira George Hart of New York, Aunts; Louise Bosfield, Barbara Bethel, Ester Zonicle and Helen Strachan; Uncle: Howard Bethel; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends including: the communities of Johnson Road, Fox Hill and James Cistern, Harbour Island and Hatchet Bay Eleuthera, Pilgrim Baptist Church family and many others too numerous to mention.

The body will repose in the Blessed Redeemer Chapel at Ferguson’s Funeral Directors, 7th Terrace Collins Avenue, on Friday from 1:00 p.m. - 5: 00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
