Funeral Service for Mr. Cyril Bernard Cartwright age 91 of Mckenzie Hill, South Long Island who died on Thursday 1st November 2012 will be held on Saturday November 10, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Taits Long Island, Bahamas. Officiating will be Father Douglas Grant, assisted by Deacon Patrick Darville, Catechists Paul Cartwright and Brenda Major. Interment will follow in the Holy Trinity Church Cemetery, Taits Long Island.
He is survived by: his wife Ivis Cartwright; three sons: Ivan, Curtis, and Albert Cartwright; two daughters: Linda Maillis and Bernadette Fox; six grandsons: Dexter, Adrian, Damian, Leonardo, Albert Jr, and Cyril Cartwright; seven granddaughters: Elefteria Oliver, Ebony Aelterman, Athina Perry, Ioanna Kambouri, Amanda and Sherrel Cartwright, and Ashli Fox; fourteen great-grand children: Justin, Nicholas, Tyler, Dylen, Leonardo, and Lia Cartwright, Cameron and Christian Oliver, Thanasi Maillis, Manolis, and Linda Kambouri, Edward and Sofia Aelterman, and Hunter Perry; two brothers: Vincent and Lorenzo Cartwright; Five sisters: Agnes Saunders, Rosa, Goudia, Maria, and Angelia Cartwright, five Sisters-in-law: Ida Johnson, Enid Major, Evelynn, Agnes, and Lena Cartwright; two sons-in-law: Athanasios Maillis and Mark Fox; three daughters-in-law: Sharon, Rose-Marie, and Patricia Cartwright; three granddaughters-in-law: Kelly-Ann, Mandy, and Chaz Cartwright; Grandsons-in-law: Ronnie Oliver, Christian Perry, Sven Aelterman, and George Kambouri; Numerous nieces and nephews including Gerald, Angelia, and Derek Eldon, Drexel, Brennel, Donavon, Patrick, Joshua, Basil, Reuban, Jethro, Dorine, Agatha, Brenda, Susan, Magdeline, Fabian, Virgil, Violet, Helen, Sharmone, Anthony, Marchion, Johnny, Marvin, Timothy, John, Sylvia, Andrea, Judy, and Christine Cartwright, Rosetta Smith, Angelia Eldon, Lynn and Rodrick Darville, Sherry Minnis, Lorene Pinder, Paul Bethell, Catherine Fox, Lydia Knowles, Marilynn Russell, Kayla Perdicales, Nora Cooper, and Tyrone, Brendan, Keith, and Laverne Saunders and numerous other relatives and friends including Pearline and McField Mortimer, Madeline Major, Randolph Cartwright, Ena and Henry Major, Deloris and Fred Taylor, Ethelyn Cartwright and Paul Cartwright, Lawrence Major, Danny Cartwright, Dianna Darville, Rosie Major, Wesley Lloyd, John Major, Brenda and John Major, Bernie and John Cartwright, George Taylor, Naomi and Rudolph Pratt, Lorene and Tom Watson, The members of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Taits and the entire community of south Long Island.
Viewing will be held in the Legacy Suite at Vaughn O. Jones Memorial Center, Mt. Royal Ave. & Talbot Street on Thursday from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday.
