Funeral Service for the late Hugh Washington Minnis Jr. affectionately called “Lil Hugh” age 27 years old of St. Vincent Road will be held on Saturday, November 24th, 2012 at 11:00am at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Calabash Bay, Andros. Officiating will be Rev’d Dr. Alonzo A. Hinsey assisted by Rev’d Henry Hinsey and other associate ministers. Interment will follow in Calabash Bay Cemetery, Andros.
Left to cherish his memories is his father: Hugh W. Minnis Sr.; mother: Virginia Saunders Minnis; brother: Montez Saunders; uncles: Austin, Charles and Fletcher Minnis Jr., Dec. Victor Adderley, Garlin Gibson, Cyril Gibson, James Saunders, Earnest Horton of Tampa, Fl. And Willie Smith of West, Palm Beach; aunts: Peralee, Vernice and Gloria Minnis, Elder Cordell Adderley, Sherene and Estella Gray, Lenora Horton, Mary Smith and Mercy Saunders; grand uncles: Rev’d Charles Hinsey of Miami, Fl., Dec. Thomas Hinsey of Love Hill, Andros, Randolph Minnis, Wendell Moxey of Fresh Creek, Andros, Clinton Whylly and John Kemp; grand aunts: Violet Cleare of Fresh Creek, Andros, Francis Whylly, Jane Bodie of Love Hill Andros, Cinderella Hinsey of Love Hill, Virginia Mortimer, Judy and Jennifer Minnis and Alma Kemp of Delray Beach, Fl.; other relatives and friends including: The Minnis Family of Calabash Bay, Andros, The Hinsey Family of Love Hill, Children of the late Mable Saunders of Calabash Bay, Children of the late Cyril and Herbert Minnis Children of the late Fred and Lawrence Hinsey, Children of the late Lundy, the Coakley’s, the Calabash Bay Community, Fresh Creek and Love Hill Community, the Family of the late Eunice Rolle, Mangrove Cay; and others too numerous to mention.
Viewing will be held in the Celestial Suite at Restview Memorial Mortuary and Crematorium Ltd., Robinson and Soldier Roads, on Thursday (TODAY) from 10:00am to 6:00pm and on Friday at the church from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and again on Saturday from 9:30am until service time.
