Funeral service for David Alexander Bascom, Sr., 84 yrs., formerly of Port-Au-Spain a resident of Boyd Subdivision & formerly of Port-au-Prince, Trinidad, will be held at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Baillou Hill & Wulff Roads, on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev'd Father Roderick Bain & The Right Rev'd Father A. Gilbert, Asst. Bishop. Interment follows in Lakeview Memorial Gardens & Mausoleums, J.F. K. Drive.
He is survived by his children: Idell “Delly” Strachan, Dr. Sharon Bascom-Bruney, Deborah Wright, John Forde-Bascom, Donna Newton, Registrar to The Supreme Court, Gregory Bascom, Barry Bascom, Hansel Leon Bascom, David Alexander Bascom Jr., Faye Robertha Bascom, Mary Pooler, Deidre Rolle, Lawrence Bascom, Edith Fox-Williams and Peter Bascom; Sons-in-law: Dr. George Bruney, Eric Strachan, Raymond Wright and Dennis Newton, Rick Pooler, Stanley Williams. Daughters-in-law: Evadne Bascom, Diane Gedymin-Bascom, and Anishka Bascom. Brothers-in-law: Donald, Thomas, Patrick, James, Spence, Burkette and Foster Dorsett; Sisters-in-law; Maria Knowles, Emelitta Sweeting, Winifred Gibson and Patsy Dorsett

Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte's Funeral Home, Market Street, from 12-6:00 p.m. on Thursday & on Friday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
