Funeral Service for Ms. Essie Louise Laing age 79 of Whitfield St, Masons Addition who died on February 14th, 2013 will be held on Saturday, March 2nd, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Baptist Church on East and Shirley Streets. Officiating will be Pastor T. G. Morrison assisted by Rev. Anthony Sampson, Rev Ulric Smith II and other Ministers of the Gospel. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Gardens, Soldier Rd.
Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her Children: Idell Bascom Strachan and John Forde Bascom. Viewing will be held in the Legacy Suite at Vaughn O. Jones Memorial Center, Mt. Royal Ave. & Talbot Street on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
