Basil “Godfather of Sports” O Neymour

Last rites for Basil “Godfather of Sports” O. Neymour aged 71 of Freeport Grand Bahama and formerly of Fresh Creek, Andros will be held on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Christ Church Cathedral, George Street.  Officiating will be Rt. Rev. Bishop Laish Boyd , Archdeacon Keith Cartwright and Fr. Colin Humes.  Interment in Woodlawn Gardens, Soldier Road.

He is survived by his wife: the former Principle Nursing Officer Paula Neymour;
4 Sons: Former Cabinet Minister Phenton Neymour, Deputy Chief of Mission Chet Donvan Neymour, Brian and Bradley Neymour; Grandchildren: Damian, Ashley, Dylan, Darryn, Jonathan, Drew, Khalon & Tiara Neymour; Siblings: Lorelda (Eric) Burrows, Frederick Laing, Sandra Baird; Pre-Deceased by siblings: John Wesley, Alfred “Dooley”, Henry “King Turtle” Neymour, Betty Neymour-Charlton, Violet Neymour-Canonica and Alfred Jarrett.

The body will repose at Kurtiss Memorial Mortuary, Robinson Road and Fifth Street on Friday from 12:00 Noon until 6:00 P.M. There will be no viewing at the church.
