Funeral Service for Rev. Dr. Bertram Alpheus Newton- BEM JP, age 88 years, a resident of Red Bay, Andros, will be held on Sunday September 29th 2013, 10:30 a.m at New Salem Baptist Church, Red Bay, Andros. Officiating will be Bishop B. Wenith Davis PHD, JP, OBE, Dr. Iffill E. Russell, Rev Archaleus Burrows, Rev Rudell Marshall assisted by other Ministers. Interment will be made in Red Bays Memorial Park, Red Bays Andros.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Rose Newton; Children: Dave Colebrooke (Yvonne), George Woodside, Cecil Newton (Ivalene), Anthony Barr, John Gibson (Gertrude). Two (2) Sisters: Edna Melford and Pastor Rudell Marshall; One (1) Brother: Rev. Dr. E. John Newton D.D.B.E.M. J.P; One Hundred (100) God-Children; Twenty (20) Grandchildren; Six (6) Sisters-in-law: Eva Baptiste, Florence Grant, Doris Lewis, Rev. Lucine Newton, Rosnell Newton and Susan Bryant; Three (3) Brothers-in-law: Cecil Marshall, Austin Grant, Rev.
