Funeral Service for Sidney George “Spoon” McKinney age 64 of Smith’s Way, Pinewood Gardens who died on Saturday March 29, 2014 will be held on Friday April 11, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Agnes Anglican Church, Baillou Hill Road. Officiating will be the Venerable I. Ranfurly Brown assisted by Rev. Fr. Neil Geron Nairn. Interment will follow in the Western Cemetery, Nassau Street.
He is survived by his mother, Emerald McKinney, his children Keva and Shannon McKinney; three sisters, Catherine Saunders, Karen Ferguson and Jestina McKinney; five grandchildren, Kadeisha McKinney, Krystal McKinney, Magan, Rnaya and Adlophus Maycock; one great grandchild, Javin McKenzie; two brothers-in-law, Reginald Saunders and Edwin Demeritte; numerous nieces and nephews including: Robyn and Ryan Saunders, Marvin and Tanya Clare, Alvarez and David farrington, Cohen and Ianique Lightbourne, David and Darron Demeritte, Alicia and Alvin Knowles, Adrian Wallace, Christian Russell, Carlique King, Shawn and Yvette McKinney; grandnieces and nephews incliuding: Cohen Jr., Constantino and Cohenique Lightbourne, Matthew Clare, Daveigh Farrington, Tyler Smith and Nigel McKenzie; and other relatives and friends including; Christine Mackey, Evelyn Williams, Althea Conliffe, Lillybell Adderley, Hannaman and the Smith’s Way Family, Jay Fox, Ali Demerritte, Paul Hanna, Alvin Knowles, the Grants Town and Farm Road Communities.
Viewing will be held in the Legacy Suite of Vaughn O. Jones Memorial center, Mt. Royal Ave and Talbot Street on Thursday from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and at the Church from 2:00 p.m. until service time.
