Delvano Solomon Mortimer, 12 a resident of Cox Way off East Street South will be held on Saturday August 23rd, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Arrow of Deliverance Church, Cox Way off East Street South. Officiating will be Rev. Luther Thurston and Pastor Henry Innis, assisted by Rev. Irena Deleveaux. Interment will follow in the Southern Cemetery, Cowpen and Spikenard Road.

Left to cherish this precious gem's memories are his mother: Simone Hepburn; father: Solomon Mortimer; brother: Tre'von Ferguson and (pre-deceased by his brother)Ayden Ferguson; grandparents: Ellamae Thurston, Rev. Clifton and Betty Ann Hepburn and Esthamae Mortimer; great-grandmothers: Miriam Brown and Merline Hepburn of Cocoa Beach, Fl; aunts: Melva Munroe, Patrice Mortimer, Sandra Horton and Ruby Rolle; uncles: Kenneth, Wendall, Wilbert and Richard Mortimer; grand aunts: Valerie and Ella Hepburn, Patrice Maycock, Gloria Pratt, Genevieve Turnquest and Pamela Williams; grand uncles: Rev. Everette, Valentino, Stephen and Bernard Brown, Arlington, Marcus and Solomon Hepburn, Min. Orman, Edgar, Rev. Luther, John, Nehemiah, Carl, Hently and William Thurston; god-parents: Bernard Brown, Nadia Whymms and Deanthony Whymms; a host of other relatives and friends including but not limited to: Mrs. Audrey Bastian and family, Mrs. Bettymae Poitier and family, Mr. Charles McKenzie and family, Mrs. Alma Watkins and family, Mrs. Rosheva Hepburn-McDonald and family,Mr. Cleophas Hepburn and family, the decendants of the late Henrietta McKenzie, Leon and Roxana Hepburn, Idell Dawkins, Carol and Brenetta Thurston and many others who's lives he has touched. Friends may pay their last respects at Gateway Memorial Funeral Chapel/Vaughn O. Jones Memorial Center, Mount Royal Ave. and Talbot St. on Friday August 22nd, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
