Funeral Service for the Late George Edwin Basil Greenslade, age 71 years of Sunset Park, will be held on Saturday July 5th, 2014, 10:00 a.m. at St. Gregory’s Anglican Church, Carmichael Road. Canon Sabastian Campbell assisted by other members of the clergy will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Nassau Street.


Left to carry on his legacy are his 4 sons: Terrence H. Greenslade of Los Angeles, CA, Lieut. Mark E. Greenslade, U.S. Navy of Lemoore, CA, Patrick and Edwin Greenslade; 4 daughters: Dr. Gina McCarthy Greenslade of Honolulu, Hawaii, Juliette F. Pinder-Greenslade of Dover, New Jersey, Georgette and Gayle Greenslade; 5 grandchildren: Dr. Jeremy Greenslade of Buffalo, NY, Chester Greenslade of Atlanta, GA, Jermaine Greenslade of Fayette, NC, Chiara McCarthy of Honolulu, Hawaii and Kendia Pinder of Dover NJ; 1 great-grandson: Jylen Greenslade; 2 sons-in-law: Paul McCarthy and Kendall Pinder; Timeless memories are treasured by 5 sisters: Evangeline, Dianna, Pamela and Paula Greenslade, and Sonia Dean; 3 brothers: Thomas & Philip Greenslade and Bradley Miller; 6 sisters-in-law: Joan Selve, Annette Rigby, Coral Butler, Esther and Christine Dorsette, and Virginia Greenslade of Panama; 3 brothers-in –law: Wilfred Dorsette Jr,  Lincoln Dorsette and Levi Johnson; Nephews: Commissioner of Police, Ellison Greenslade Sr. (Kimberly), Desmond Greenslade Sr. (Jackie), Superintendent Ashton Greenslade Sr. (Hazel), Det.Sgt.464 Kevin Greenslade Sr. (Prenell), and Steven Greenslade John, Jeffery Greenslade of Panama, Michael, Marvin and Madian Dean, Marvin and Romel Johnson, Novaldo Smith Anton, Antoino and Shaquille Greenslade; Nieces: Sgt. Friends may pay their last respects at Bethel Brothers Morticians, #34 Nassau Street, on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
