Funeral Service for the Late Aramintha M. Adderley (nee Gay), aged 68 years of Lyford Cay, who died on Wednesday, November 25th, 2015, will be held on Saturday, December 12th, 2015, 1:00 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, West Hill Street. Fr. Kendrick Forbes will officiate. Interment will follow in the Catholic Cemetery, Infant View Road.

Married in London on 4 October 1970 she is survived by her husband of 45 years: His Lordship the Hon. Mr. Justice K. Neville Adderley; Children: Nadia (Kenneth) Adderley-Trider, Andrea (Norman) Adderley-McQuay, and Andre Adderley; Grandchildren and step-grandchildren: Ayisa Adderley, Jalei McKenzie Kim Adderley, Devin and Gisele Adderley-Trider, Brittany, Mark, and Leighbra Wilkinson; Surviving siblings include: Lillian Gibson, John, Gladstone and Leroy Gay; Nieces and Nephews: Alice, Roderick Jr., Chante, Nina and Stacey Haxton, John Gay Jr., Yolanda Page, Cornell, Rodney and Reggie Gay; Cousins: Charles, Bernard, Robin, Theodore, Dudley, Leslie (Dominique), Richard, Donald, Elwood, David, Kevin, Lindsley, Jermaine Shephard, John and Dudley Shepherd, Sylvia (David) Perry, Daisey Bowley, Caron Shepherd, Valarie (Michael) Gibson, Catherine Demeritte, Dr. Sonia (Alric) Simmonds, Shurlene, Carol, Irene, Polly, Janet, Roseman, Barbara and Delores Shephard and other members of the Shepherd family; Brothers-in-law: Patrick and Alfred Adderley; Sisters in law: Valerie Gay, Fiordelisa Bain, Gabriella Adderley, Sarah Collie, Linda Williams and Bobby Haxton; Nephews and nieces-in-law and cousins-in-law and other in-laws: from the Adderley, Andrews, Carter, Dean and Newbold families, including among others Verona Bastian, Cynthia Damalie, Helen Williams, Roston Newbold, Mavis Lewis, Manencha Clarke, Mariam Wallace, Dr. Chimone Charlton, Dr. Indira Damalie Jones and their families.She is also remembered by all of her godchildren and their families and a host of friends developed over many years, and associates too numerous to attempt to name individually. Included are: the old YCS (Young Christian Students) family where her relationship with her future husband was nurtured; The E.D. Sassoon Banking, the Britannia Beach, the Resorts International and the Atlantis Families; the Augusta Street “hill topper” family, The John F. Kennedy Subdivision, The Nassau East, and the Lyford Cay Families; the Minnesota, Grand Bahama and Abaco families; the PLP Family and its leader the Rt. Hon. Perry G. Christie, Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip E. Davis, Deputy Prime Minister; the Church families under our local shepherd, His Grace Archbishop Patrick C. Pinder, himself “a hill topper”, including specifically the Catholic Church families of St. Francis, Holy Family, and St. Paul’s Lyford Cay, Pastored by Rev. Kendrick J. Forbes, the Choir, the CCD Teachers and Parish Council members; the Chancery Law Associates, Supreme Court, and Court of Appeal families; and the Bahamas Golf Federation. Gratitude is expressed to her doctors and other caregivers especially: Dr. Wesley Francis, Surgical Oncologist, Dr. Theodore Turnquest, Dr. Duvaughn Curling of Oncology Associates, Anaesthesiologists, Dr. Reginald Neymour, Dr. Barrett McCartney, and Dr. Rowe, Dr. Raleigh Butler, Dr. Halliday, and Dr. Darville of the ICU Unit of Doctor’s Hospital. Also PCT Portia Stirrup, and Nurse Khris Wring and Angels Elite Nursing including: Nurse Naomi Hanna, and nurses and PCT’s of the intensive care Unit and ICU floor of Doctor’s Hospital.

Friends may pay their last respects at Bethel Brothers Morticians, #44 Nassau Street, on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and at the Cathedral from 12:00 noon until service time.
