Funeral Service for Norris Roosevelt Francis Cartwright, age 68 years, of Cartwright’s Drive Deadman’s Cay, Long Island, will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church, Buckley’s, Long Island at 10:00a.m. on Saturday January 10, 2015. Officiating will be Archdeacon Keith Cartwright, assisted by Canon Harry W. Ward and Fr. Chester Burton. Interment will follow in St. John’s Burial Society Cemetery, Lower Deadman’s Cay, Long Island.

Left to cherish his memories are his children and their spouses: Dwight and Allison, Ron and Gwendolyn, Nadia and Davey and Dr. Samantha Cartwright; grandchildren: Morgan Julia, Ronae, Rohan, Alicia and Waylontae; sisters: Oris (Lamark) Stillings (Tampa, Fl.), Delores Cartwright, Melvera Adderley, Theresa Cartwright and Joy Whyms; brothers: Cecil, Okell (Elizabeth) and Claris Cartwright; adopted mother: Effie Cartwright; godmother: Beryl Cartwright; uncles: Allan Cartwright (Virginia, USA); aunts: Nora Cartwright, Louise Fox, Gretel Ford and Emma Wells; nephews: Christopher (Canada), Wayne, Cecil, Brendan, Chelseas, Shelmerdine, MaCleish and Egan Cartwright, Todd Cole (Tampa, Fl.), Lamark Stillings Jr. (Tampa Fl.), Christopher Cartwright (Fort Lauderdale, Fl.), Lamont, Omar and Donovan Whyms; nieces: Stephanie Hield, Constance McKinney, Michelle Johnson, Antoinette Moxey, Donna Cartwright Tranquilla Hindle (Padiham, England), Gia Devore (Tampa, Fl.), Lolita Wright (Tampa, Fl.), Tiffany Kitchens (Miami Lakes, Fl.), Alveta Knight (Kingston, Jamaica), Zaneta Burton (Turks and Caicos) and Kenisha Whyms; numerous other relatives and friends including: Family of the late Julia Thompson, Bertha Curry and family of the late Garth Curry, Effie Walkes, Laura Williams, Charlie Wells, Owen Wells (godson) Virginia Thompson, Florrie Cartwright, Mark and Winnifred Thompson (Govenors Harbour, Eleuthera), Silas Turnquest , Judy Rolle, The entire Bahamas Customs Department, Canon Harry Ward, Archdeacon Kingsley Knowles, Father George Knowles, Father Chester Burton, Father Jonathan Archer, Members of the ACM of St. Paul’s Parish Church, Long Island. Friends may pay their last respects at Butlers’ Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Ernest and York Streets, on Thursday, January 08th, 2015 from 2:30 a.m. until 4:30p.m. On Friday January 09th, 2015 in Buckley’s, Long Island at St. John’s Anglican Church from 4:30 p.m. On Saturday January 10th, 2015 at St. John’s Anglican Church from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
