Memorial Service for Eric Valentine “Shorty” Darville age 77 years, a resident of #21 Woodcock Loop, Yeoman Wood, Lucaya Grand Bahama and formerly of Sandy Point, Abaco will be held on Saturday 31st, January, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Ascension, Arden Forest Road and West Beach Drive. Officiating will be Rev’d Fr. Michael Gittens.
Pre-deceased by brothers: Ronald and Joseph Marshall Darville; nephews: Joseph Walkes, Michael and Ian Darville.
Cherished memories are held by his three daughters: Erica Godet, Sherry and Shakia Darville; two adopted sons:Carson Hepburn and Edward Collins; three sisters: Vernetta Walkes of Nassau, Orinthia Newman of Deadman’s Cay, Long Island and Annie Forest of Atlanta Georgia; three brothers: Oswald, John Merlin and Harry Darville; one son-in-law: Thomas Godet; one brother-in-law: Abbie Newman; grandaunt: Doris Bain of West End, Grand Bahama; granddaughters: Alianna, Alayah, Ariah and Alivia Godet, Kamayah McIntosh, Tiorra, Tamara and Tia Saunders; grandsons: Thomas Godet Jr., Kamaal McIntosh and Taro Saunders; great grands: Tieron, Briah, Brianna and Brianae Saunders; nieces: Darlene Bethel, Suzette Farrington, Earalee Munroe, Albertha Williams, Stephanie, Leighar, Donna, Natasha, Lalania, Kimberley and Asia Darville, Deidre Smith, Yvonne Dean, Jasmine Jones, Patrice Capron, Allison Shields, Tiegs Jamerson, Marsha, Bridgette, Jackie and Vanessa Walkes; nephews: John Merlin, Gregory, Garrett, Darcy, Joseph, Ronald Jr., Stephen, Marcel, John Ronald Darville, Chadwick Walkes, Mark Smith, Sgt. Kenwood Capron and Sr. Lt. Clarence Dean; adopted sister: Neisha Gaitor (Edney) and a host of other relatives and friends.
