Funeral Service for Vernon Akeen Smith age 31years affectionately called B.A. by family and Five “O” or Vince Boy by others will be held on Saturday 18th, July, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, East Sunrise Highway. Officiating will be Father David Cooper assisted by FR. Oswald Ferguson and Deacon Nixon Lindor. Interment will follow in the Hunter’s Cemetery.
Life is not measured by the breaths that we take; but by the moments that take our breath away.These precious moments of his life will be cherished forever by his daughter and the love of his life: Marvinique Smith, aka Daddy’s Princess;his mother: Merril Williams; sisters: Zinnia Williams, Valencia Robinson, Tiffany Smith (predeceased); brother: Oramie Smith; adopted brothers: John Brian, Julian Russell, Valentino Strachan and Robert Williams; grandfather: Charles Williams; sister in law: Ganettra Smith; nephews: Javon and Sanchez Smith; nieces and grandnieces: Deandra Higgs, Shatae and Maleecea Smith, Nova and Demetria Smith; aunts: Judith Ferguson, Anastacia Gibson, Portia Pinder, Gloria, Norma and Wendy Williams, and Andrea Wisdom; uncles: Giovanni Gibson, Clement Pinder, Alonzo, Bruno, Charles, Dirk Sr., John, Kimmitt, Paul and Peter Williams, Stan Wisdom; godparents: Milton Grant, Cheryl Knowles, Harold Laing, Graylin Russell and Norma Russell; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of floral arrangements the family is asking for donations to be made to the account of Marvinique Smith (his daughter) at the G.B. Co-Operative Credit Union account 3 8452-01.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Yager funeral Home & Crematorium on Friday from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
