Mrs. Jane Elizabeth Borgen died in hospital in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England on 20th July, 2015, after a long illness. A funeral service was held on 29th July,2015.
She is survived by her husband, Ivan Borgen; her son Adam Borgen and his wife, Karen; her daughter, Carol Peterson and her husband, Joe; two grandsons, Adam and Richard Peterson and Kate and Lucy Borgen; many friends in the United Kingdom and The Bahamas.
Mrs. Borgen and her husband lived in The Bahamas in the 1960s and 1970s. She was employed by Messrs Higgs and Kelly as a legal secretary and Mr. Borgen was a mathematics and science teacher in the High School at Queens College, Village Road.
Mr. and Mrs. Borgen will be remembered by students of the then newly established Queens College Hostel for Family Island students, where they were the resident supervisors.
She will also be remembered by members of The Nassau Amateur Operatic Society, where she took an active part behind the scenes in the make up department.
