Funeral service for Rev. Hester Bernice Johnson, 81 yrs., a resident of  #10 Ixora Ave. Garden Hills #2 & formerly of the Bluff, Cat Island, will be held at Zion Yamacraw Baptist Church, Yamacraw Road & Commonwealth Blvd., on Saturday 27th August, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.  Officiating will be Rev. Rolston Smith, assisted by Rev. Wilton Strachan, Rev. Archaelaus Burrows & other Ministers of the Gospel.  Interment follows in Western Cemetery, Nassau Street.

Left to enjoy her wonderful memories are: Three Daughters: Retired Nursing Officer Stephanie Johnson, Rhinia Smith and Sylvia Culmer. Six Sons: Philip, Kingsley, Pastor Tyrone Johnson, Rev. Vincent Johnson of Nashville Tenn. Cedric Jr and Charles Johnson. Daughters-in-law: Dorothy, Georgette, Sabrina, Larissa, Donella, Marva, Renadell and Charity Johnson. Sons-in-law: Christopher Smith and Winston Culmer. Grandchildren: Saadia, Roseanna, Delicia, Leshann, Tamara, Micha, Kinslee, Deja, Nicole, Ashlee,  Chelsea, Osmana, Christian, Lynne, Etana, Eyden and Emiah Johnson. Denise, Tammy, Nellie and Desiree Culmer. Sarah, Joy, Remona, Nikira, Emreta, Cedrica, Shantell, Deshawn, Cindell, Nadia, Charylsa, Shantae, Lauren, Cedric, Lynhurst Jr., Chad, Cleon, Philip Jr., Tyrone Jr., Jaelyn, Damian, Trevor, Winston Jr., Dennis, Emroy Jr., Robert, Eugene,  Angelo, Ashley and Byron Simmons. Trajean Jadorette, Deacon Craig and Deaconess Christine Knowles, Christopher “Moriah” Evans, Shirley Clarke and Betty Outten and Rochelle Minnis and Reginald "Billy" Austin. Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte's Funeral Home, Market Street, from 12-6:00 p.m. on Friday & on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
