Funeral Service for MATRIARCH MAVIS SYLVIA CLARKE-FORBES age 71 years of St. Barts Road, Golden Gates #2 and formerly of Matthew Town, Inagua who died on January 22nd, 2016 will be held on Saturday, February 6th, at 10:00am at St. Gregory’s The Great Anglican Church, Carmichael Road. Officiating will be The Rev’d Canon S. Sebastian Campbell assisted by Rev. Fr. Addison Turnquest. Interment will be made in St. Agnes Cemetery, Nassau Street.
Fondest memories are held by her Daughter: Nicola McKenzie, (2) Sons: Wayne and Walter Newman; Adopted daughters/nieces: Barbara Cox, Earnestine Ambrister and Sheryl Clarke; Adopted sons: William Armbrister and Christopher Walkes; (6) Grandchildren: Wayne Newman Jr., O’Branique, Ashley, Shadaria Newman and Shenequa Lewis, Dwayne Newman and Edrika Ramsey; (4) Great grandchildren: Algernique, Zion, Sian and Yuri, Step mother: Emerald Clarke; (2) Sisters: Stephanie Clarke and Eleanor Braithwaite, (1) Brother: Athelstan Clarke; Step sister: Beverley Anderson; (1) Aunt: Bloneva Balfour; (8) Nieces: Evelyn, Joenell, Cynthia, Sherry, Sharlene, Rhonda Clarke, Latitia Clarke-McKinney, Thomasine and Rochelle Rolle; (5) Nephews: Lester and Garvin Clarke, Rawl and Elverston Brathwaite, Karem Williams and Toriano Rolle, Caregiver: Sharon Munroe; Grand nieces: Philippa Curtis, Joyann Clarke, Deandrea Mackey, Dashanae and Pinky; Grand nephews: Dwayne and Dwight King. Numerous Great grand nieces and Grand nephews; Cousins including but not limited to: Halson, Mizpah, Andre, Wellington, Ormal, Vivian, Curlene, Bertha, Eddie, Louie, Ruthie, Ethlyn, Calvin, Edwin, Melvin, Earl, Harriet, Bloneva, Jacqueline and Evamae. And a host of other relatives and friends including: Portia Newman, Sharon Munroe and family, Jessica Ward and family, Anita Hickey of New York and family, the Walkes family, Vera Allen and family, Tonya Williams and family, Winifred Taylor and family, Cleo McPhee and family, Donald Love and family, Patricia Cartwright and family, the Gray family the Ferguson family, the staff of the National Insurance Board, St. Gregory’s Anglican church family, and the staff of the Ministry of Education and many others too numerous to mention.
Viewing will be held at Clarke’s Funeral Home #41 Tonique Williams-Darling Highway on Friday, February 5th from 11:00am to 5:00pm and on Saturday from 9:00am until service time.
