Funeral service for Roosevelt Jacob Cleare, age 80 years, of Minnie Street, formerly of Dumfries, Cat Island, who died at his residence on Wednesday February 10, 2016, will be held on Saturday February 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at The Remnant Tabernacle of Praise, Carmichael and Golden Isles Roads. Officiating will be Pastor Melvin Grant assisted by other ministers of the gospel. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, John F. Kennedy Drive.
Left to cherish his fond memories are his wife of 55 years: Francina Cleare; children: Norma Brown (Deacon Timothy Brown), Barbara Cleare, Trevor Cleare (Lisa), Demetrius Cleare (Ruby) of Ft. Lauderdale, Deidre Causby (Larry) of Cartersville, Ga., NyTanya Cleare, Valerie Cleare of Damascus, Md., Ingrid and Prescott Cleare; adopted sons: Ken Swan, Lesley George and Hayden Rolle; grandchildren: Pete Armbrister, Doyle Gaitor, Jason Gray, Kevin Cleare Jr., Timeca Brown, Kalvin Cleare, Demetrius Cleare Jr., Rickisha Hall, Demetria Cleare, Shawna Turner, Kahlyn, Treasure, Shannon, Darius, Kiara and Kanaan Cleare; great grandchildren: Doyle Jr. and Doylelisha Gaitor, Petra and Pria Armbrister, Kayden, Kenzo and Sharad Cleare; siblings: Kensworth Cleare (Carmen) of Orlando, Gregory Cleare (Hope) of Marietta, Ga., Tyrone Cleare (Joy) of Miami, Fl; brothers-in-law: Cornelius Ambrose, Alfred, Abraham (Precina) and Jerry Stubbs; nephews: Bobby, Oral, Donnie, Joey, Brian and Ellis Ambrose, Zendal, Perry, Jeffery, Orval, Geovanni and Marvin Stubbs, William, Donzel and Damien Cleare; nieces: Yvonne Stubbs, Denise Lewis, Mannette Stubbs, Debbie, Theresa, Christina, Mona and Julie Ambrose, Toya, Eva, Astra, Valerie, Elcine, Marjorie, Alfreepa, Julinthia (J.
