Funeral Service for the Late Alafair Everett Berkel, aged 86 years of Pompano, Florida and formerly of Harbour Island and Nassau, Bahamas, who died on Friday, December 25th, 2015, will be held on Saturday, January 9th, 2016, 10:00 a.m. at Robinson-Morris Chapel AME Church, Ridgeland Park, West. Rev. Howard Williamson will officiate. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Soldier Road.

Left to cherish her memories are Eight daughters: Malvern Williams, Dovis Berkel, Marilyn Major, Donnalea Colebrooke, Frances Pitters, Generosa Berkel-Austin, Sheila Berkel and Sherry Johnson; Five Adopted children: Grace Thompson, Erma “Bobbi” Davis, Noel Charles, William Bullard (Wilma) and Rodney Cleare (Wendy); Six Sons-in-law: Hector Williams, Franklyn Major, Brendon Colebrooke, Herbert Pitters, Frank Austin and Edwin Graham Johnson; Two Sisters-in-law: Frances Berkel-Bullard and Doreen Albury; Fourteen Grandchildren: Randy, Jonelle, Dustin Williams; Jillian Storr (Rorey), Simone Crim (Lonnie), Laurie Mckenzie, Amardo, Galen (Tamika) and Ian Pitters; Shanta and Jermaine Colebrooke (Alysia); Julian Major (Carey); Erin Johnson and Sharlene Thompson; Seventeen Great-grandchildren: Lanise, Julian, Darius, Anthony, Taylor, Atreo, Tehya, Malik, Amari, Jacob, Joshua, Jaaziah, Safiya, Kijani, Alaya, Randy Jr, and Alyna; Four Nephews: Kenneth Johnson, Thomas Bullard (Frances), Chris and Shane Albury; Fourteen Nieces: Christianna Thompson, Lina Thompkins (Rev. Timothy), Judy Green, Pamela Faulks, Ruth Derrico (Rev. Friends may pay their last respects at Bethel Brothers Morticians, #44 Nassau Street, on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
