Funeral Service for Mr. Samuel Alphonso Edgecombe, age 64 years, a resident of Avocado Street, Pinewood Gardens, and formerly of McKanns, Long Island, will be held on Saturday, March 5th, 2016, 11:00 a.m., at Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, Cowpen Road and Faith Avenue. Officiating will be Rev. Arthur Charlton, assisted by other Ministers of the Gospel. Interment will be made in Woodlawn Gardens, Soldier Road.

Mr. Edgecombe was predeceased by his Parents: Phillip & Helene Edgecombe; father-in-law: Leamond Cartwright Sr.; one (1) brother: Hubert Edgecombe; four (4) uncles: Hartman Knowles, Lincoln, Sinclair and Levi Edgecombe.
Left to cherish his fond memories are: his wife: Brenda Edgecombe; three daughters: Karen Edgecombe- Sherman, Kentrell Edgecombe- Brown and Nacarah Edgecombe; grandchildren: Clarence Sherman Jr., Shaquel Burrows and Kendal Newbold Jr.; mother-in-law: Remelda Cartwright; son-in-law; Clarence Sherman Sr.; two sisters: Jenniemae Wallace and Mary Edgecombe; five brothers: Alexander Junior Edgecombe, Huden Edgecombe, Wellington Edgecombe, Joseph Edgecombe, Lionel Edgecombe; two (2) brothers-in-law: Leamond Cartwright of Inagua and James Wallace; two sisters-in-law: Merlene and Monica Edgecombe; aunts: Rhoda Knowles, Florence Butler, Susana Cartwright, Gladys Miller; uncles: Bertie Knowles of Pennsylvania, U.S.A., Steve, Wendell, and Levi Edgecombe; nieces: Roslyn Cartwright, Misper Wallace, Nicola Edgecombe, Natasha Wallace, Audrey Fox, Christine Thompson, Tricie Rolle, Mellony Grosett of Orlando, Florida; nephews: Kingsley and Devon Edgecombe, Lyndon, Dewitt Adderley, Patrick, Alvin and Shawn Wallace, Marcus Wallace, Jamal Edgecombe of the RBPF, Antonie, Pedro and Cloris Cartwright, Phil, Prison Officer Ken Edgecombe, Jason, Jamal, Tarvis, Jaree and Jarvin Edgecombe; numerous other relatives and friends including: the residents of McKann’s, Long Island and Mayaguana, the community of Avocado street - Pinewood Gardens, Water and Sewerage Corporation, Melbourne Burrows (friend), Samuel Martin, and a host of other relatives and friend too numerous to mention.
A special thanks to the staff of Male Surgical ward and the Trauma Room at the Princess Margaret Hospital.

Relatives and friends may pay their respect at Cedar Crest Funeral Home and Crematorium Ltd., Robinson and Baillou Hill Roads, on Friday from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m., and at the church on Saturday , from 9:30 a.m. until service time.
