Funeral Service for Vendell Obediah Walkes, age 61 of Gibbs Corner who died on March 1st, 2016 will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at East Street Cathedral - East Street & Lily of The Valley Corner. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Carlton J. Stuart, assisted by Rev. Rufus Lightfoot and Other Ministers of The Gospel. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, John F. Kennedy Drive.

Friends may pay their last respects at East Sunrise Mortuary, Rosetta Street, Palmdale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and at the Church from 10 a.m. on Saturday until service time.
