Funeral Service for MR. ALVIN LEROY RITCHIE, age 91 years of Scrub Hill, Long Island will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Holy Cross Anglican Church, Hamilton’s, Long Island. Officiating will be Father Alvardo Adderley. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Hamilton’s, Long Island.

Precious memories will linger in the hearts of his sons: Reginald (Sandy), Gordon (Daphney) and David (Jacqueline) Ritchie, Gregory (Della) Cartwright; daughters: Bertha(Birdie) Ritchie, Elizabeth (Willrow) Strachan , Kathleen Ritchie; grandchildren: Keara Ellis, Andrea Ritchie (John) Sullivan , Dr. Rebecca Ritchie, Samantha Ritchie, Ryan (Chrystal) Moore Monika and Michael Strachan, Martika, Destiny and Haley Ritchie, Joshua Ritchie, Bianca and Kayse Cartwright, Justin, Colton, Robin and Jordon Ritchie, Dacia, Angelique, Brianna and David Jr. Ritchie, Greg, Andrew, and Nathaniel Cartwright and Virginia Saunders, Ryan (Shonna)and Damon (Shernique) Martinborough and Lauren (Sean)Cartwright; great grandchildren: Neron and Nevaeh Dowding, Kymani Cartwright, Jazel Sands, Ryan Jr. Moore, Everette, Joseph and Veronica Saunders, Lasean, Lauryl, Larissa and Logan Cartwright, Lequida and Deron Martinbrough and numerous relatives and friends including: Roxbury Family, Mel Burrows Family, Flossita Taylor Family, Gibson Family, Lopez family, Ms Millie Cartwright and Family, Frank Cartwright and Family, Raffael and Chloe Cartwright and family, Remelda Constantakis,  Dr. Carter and the whole community of Long Island too much to mention. Special recognition to Julia Taylor who for many years was such a blessing to the family; Ramona Ritchie Taylor and family and Kevin (Bobby) Turnquest and family and the many nieces and nephews and extended family who were such an integral part of making Alvin’s life so full of love and joy, thank you for the richness you added to his life. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Warren Rodgers for their invaluable assistance during and after Hurricane Joaquin. Thank you to Father Alvardo Adderley, St. Paul’s Anglican Parish, Archdeacon Keith Cartwright, Archdeacon Kingsley Knowles, St George’s Church, Archdeacon Harry Bain, CTK Church Freeport, the ACM of St. Paul’s Parish, and the entire Holy Cross Church Family.

Viewing will be held at Holy Cross Anglican Church, Hamilton’s, Long Island on Friday from 3:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 8:30a.m. until service time.
