Funeral Service for Richard Alfred Knowles, age 97 years, of Blair Estates, formerly of Wemyss’, Long Island, will be held on Friday May 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. George’s Anglican Church, Montrose Avenue. Officiating will be the Venerable G. Kingsley Knowles assisted by Rev’d Fr. Scott Brennen. Interment will follow in the Western Cemetery, Nassau Street.
He was predeceased by sisters: Vera Carroll and Jennie Stuart; brother: John Knowles.
Richard is survived by his brother: Eugene (Gene) Knowles; nephews and their spouses: Tracy and Kay Knowles family, Sidney and Ricky Knowles, Ridley and Bonnie Carroll and family, Stanley Carroll and family, Kenneth, Freddie and Gene Stuart and families, John Knowles Jr. and family; nieces and their spouses: Madeline and Veron Wells and family, Germaine and Gregory Pinder and family and Jennifer Treco and family; sister-in-law: Sylvia Knowles and family; a special thank you to his caregiver: Sandra and friend: Mag; and a host of other relatives and friends including: Rev’d Fr. Scott Brennen and the Guild to help the sick and needy.
Friends may pay their last respects at Butlers’ Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Ernest and York Streets, on Thursday May 5, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and at the church on Friday May 6, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
