Funeral service for
Donald Garnet Nixon, 84
a resident of Lenora Avenue, South Beach, will be held at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, 3rd Street the Grove, on Saturday 14th May, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.  Officiating will be Fr. Simeon Roberts, assisted by Deacon Danny Price.  Interment follows in Catholic Cemetery, Tyler Street.
Left to mourn his passing and treasure his memories are his 3 daughters: Joanne Dorsette, Elizabeth Rahming & Judith Nixon; 2 sons: Jeremiah Nixon Sr. & Deacon Matthew Nixon Sr. of Freeport, Grand Bahama; 6 grandsons: Larenze Dorsette, K'Keino Rahming (B.E.C.), Redante Rahming (B.E.C.) Marsh Harbour, Abaco, Terrell Hanna of Royal Bahamas Police Force, Jeremiah Nixon Jr. & Matthew Nixon Jr.; 4 grand daughters: Kelly, Kristi, Pazarria & Sherrell Nixon; 8 great grandchildren: Danaija Rahming of Fort Lauderdale Fl., Allyssa Rahming, Quianna & Quianta Hanna, Kristina, Krishawn, Theo & Tiann Nixon; 3 daughters-in-law: Julie Nixon, Jackie Nixon of Freeport, Grand Bahama & Marissa Nixon;  1 brother: Ronald Nixon; cousins: Alfred Cooper & Patsy Sweeting of Wemyss Bight, Eleuthera; other relatives & friends: Diane Cooper & family, Alfred Cooper Jr. & family, Agatha Cooper & family, Maudlene Pinder & family, Cletus, Wendell, Dwayne & Darren Cooper, Clifton, Stephen, Dwayne, Ashley, Daphne Brooks, Charlene Pinder, the Edgecombe family, the Fernander family, the Jones family, the Albury family of San Salvador, Theresa Carey & family, Peggy Davis & family, Jacquelyn Henry & family of Minnesota, Phileshia Nixon.
A special thanks to the Doctors & Nurses of Princess Margaret Hospital E.R., Male Medical Ward & the Orthopedic Ward & all who visited and prayed with him.
Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte's Funeral Home, Market Street, from 12-6:00 p.m. on Friday & on Saturday at the church from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
