Homegoing service for the late Howard Barr JP, age 88, a resident of Pleasant Bay, South Andros will be held at Centreville Seventh Day Adventist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Paul Scavella, assisted by other ministers of the gospel. Interment will follow in Southern Cemetery, Cowpen and Spikenard Road.

Loving memories of this legend, historian and story-teller will live on in the hearts of many including his wife of 20 years, Laura ‘Leanna’ Sands-Barr. His two sons; Sidney and Wendell Barr. His daughters Dr. Shannon Mae Barr-Marinetti of Coco Beach, Florida, Cleopatra Braynen, Doraline Davis of Freeport and Colleen Sweeting of Tampa, Florida. Several stepchildren including: Edroy & Caren, James &Angela, Irwin, Glenwood & Ann Rahming, Patricia & Anthony Smith and Angela & Ronald Small. numerous grandchildren including, Sydnease Barr- Gardiner, Koria Barr- Pedican, Immigration officer Auldrin Omar Barr, P/C 2989 DeCorray Barr, Anishka & Natalia Johnson and Janika Johnson-Rolle, Shancia, Kenetria & Kyra Marinetti, Wendenia Mackey, Javon, Kaishia, Fred, Vaughn &Giovanny McKenzie, Kendra Morgan, Siadra Sutherland, Deidra & Shavonne Strachan and Audeique Edden, Tiffany Dottin, Jameko Butler, Tristan Storr and Alex Huffor. Friends may pay their last respects at Vaughn O. Jones Memorial Centre, Mount Royal Avenue and Talbot Street on Sunday from 9:30am to 11:00am and then at the church on Sunday from 11:45am to service time at the church.
