Funeral service for Gwendolyn Thompson, 93 yrs., a resident of Fleming Street, will be held at Metropolitan Baptist Church, Hay Street, on Saturday 24th September, 2016 at 12:00 p.m.  Officiating will be Rev. Dr. George Kelly.  Interment follows in Woodlawn Gardens, Soldier Road.

Left to cherish her memories are her 1 daughter: Sandra Brown; 1 son: Livingston Brown; daughter-in-law: Ruthnell Brown;  1 adopted son: Derick Hanna; 16 grand daughters: Joann and Crystal Williams; Kime McKenzie, Melissa Johnson, Shantell, Rochell and Andrea Clarke, Ronell Williams, Lakita,  Fiona and Lakishka Brown, Diana and Agatha Cooper, Sophia Rolle, Lavern Berry, Tanya Mitchell and Natasha Gardiner; 10 grandsons: Johnathan Brown, Herbert Clarke, Andrew Ferguson, Ronald Williams Jr., Drexel Clarke, Alfred and Cletus Cooper, Livingston Brown Jr., Bredell Rolle and Patrick Percentie; 2 grand daughters-in-law: Ursula and Jolayne Cooper; 3 grandsons-in-law: Pastor Jacob Johnson, Frank Berry and Godwin Gardiner; 73 great grand children: 24 great great grand children; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends including: Deaconess Evelyn Stuart and Sylvia Neely (cousins) and their families, Mildred Moss, Joann Knowles, Ms. McKenzie, Maria Thompson, Brazil Bradshaw, Louise McKinney and family, Melvern Saunders and family, Telcine Simms and family, Christine Major and family, Marie and Gloria Stubbs, Tamara Weise and family, Rev. Shirley Evans and family, Pastor George Kelly and family, the Metropolitan Baptist Church family, Tiffany McQueen and family, staff of Fleming Street Clinic & the entire community of Fleming Street.

Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte's Funeral Home, Market Street, from 12-6:00 p.m. on Friday & on Saturday at the church from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
