Funeral Service for Mr. Francis Peter Noronha, age 84 years, of Nassau, Bahamas and formerly of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania East Africa., will be held on Thursday, December 7th, 2017, 1:00 p.m. “Next Thursday”, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, East Shirley Street. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Anselm Russell. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Gardens, Soldier Road.
He was predeceased by his father: Dr. Robert Francis Noronha and mother Altina Maria Noronha, nee Souza –Cordeiro.
He is survived by his: Wife of 51 years, Yvonne Noronha, nee Hilton; Daughter: Indira, and Sons, Ravi and Roshan; Grandson: Ragesh; Sisters: Sheila Clarke of Nottingham England , Gabriella Champion of London England, Dr. Teresa D’Mello (predeceased), Agnes Saldana (predeceased) and Winifred Noronha (predeceased); Brother: Dr. Michael Noronha of Manchester England, and Edgar Noronha (predeceased); Sisters in law: Dr. Enid Noronha of Manchester England, Alma Perry and Sylvia Price of Nassau. Eunice Saunders (Predeceased) and Kate Dorsette (predeceased); Brothers in law: Mr. Christopher Clarke of Nottingham England, Dr. Benny D’Mello of Nottingham England, Dr. Brandon Donaghy of Sussex England, Martin Champion of London, England, Cecil Hilton of Nassau, and Spurgeon Hilton of Freeport, and Eric Saldana (predeceased); Nieces: Dr. Myra D’Mello , Dr. Jeanne Pritchard and Dr. Bernadette Lawson Matthews, Carole Louis, Deepali Shukul, Christabelle Barretto , Melanie Gomes, Bernadette Hockham, Jennifer Crooks, and Dr. Catherine Kelly, Gemma Noronha, Michelle Noronha, Theresa Noronha, and Tania Noronha, Chrislyn (Peter) Benjamin, Joyann Dorsette, Cecile Hilton-Dames, Phillipa Hilton Sumlin (Tony), Erica Hilton-Mattirre (Michael), Cecilee (“Cejay”) Hilton-Mortensen (Pete) and Laverne Hilton Kettke (Andy). Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Cedar Crest Funeral Home and Crematorium Ltd, Robinson and Baillou Hill Roads, on Wednesday from 12:00 noon. to 6:00 p.m.
There will be no viewing at the church.
