Funeral Service for Pastor Viola Mackey Romer age 92 affectionately called “Lenny” of Carsarilla Street Pinewood Gardens and formerly of Waterford Eleuthera, who died at her residence December 14th, will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 30th, 2017 at Cooper’s Terrace Cathedral Kemp Road Bishop Robert McPhee assisted by Bishop Karvin Bain will officiate and interment will follow in the Southern Cemetery Cow Pen and Spikenard Roads.
Left to cherish her fond memories are:
Four son: Kenneth Romer of Chicago Illnois, James Delancy of Grand Bahama, Kenneth Bradley Sullivan of New Jersey and Freddie Delancy
Three daughters; Sheila Williams of Bimini, Sandra Sutherland of Deerfield Beach Florida and Deidre Thompson
Thirty-five grand-children:Tyrone Romer, Brian brown, Karen Penn, Tabitha Anderson, James and Jamie Delancy, Keith Curtis, Coral, Tiffany, Edroy, Devon and Beyonce Delancy, Lynette and Warren Thompson, Lance Rolle of Florida, Kermit Richards, Minister Ormonique Joffre, Shyonna Rolle of Deerfield Florida, Lamont Evans of Clearview Oklahoma, Kiarra Williams of Meoshie Evand of Florida, Genae Wilburn of Texas, Keino, Valentino, Anwar, Viola, Sandra and Keva Rolle, Laneisha Sullivan of New Jersey, Sergeant 2708 Lawrence Smith of The Royal Bahamas Police Force, Laneutre Thompson and Aslonique Mackey
Fifty-four great grand-children: Alex Jr. and Christopher Peyton Weech
Two brothers: Joseph and Herbert Mackey
Four sisters: Bertha Mackey, Vernette Minnis, Nathalee Dantzler of North Carolina and Mazel Deveaux
One son-in-law:
Two sisters-in-law: Juliette and Vynonna Mackey
Two brothers-in-law: Wendell Minnis and Alfred Adderley
Numerous nieces , nephews and special friends including: Roscoe Thompson, Pastor Salathiel Rolle, Pastor Della Johnson, Sheila Knowles, Cherry Gibson, Marrie Deveaux, Gloria Pinder, Orient Munnings, Nettie Clarke, Rosetta and Charles Strachan
A host of other relatives and friends including: the communities of South Eleuthera, especially Waterford, Wemyss Bight and Green Castle Eleuthera.
Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at THE CHAPEL OF MEMORIES THE NEW COMMONWEALTH FUNERAL HOME INDEPENDENCE DRIVE Friday from 11:00-6:00 p.m. and at the church Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to service time.
