Funeral Service for the late Levena Eunice Shields age 69 years of Jacaranda Street, Pinewood Gardens and formerly of Barraterre, Exuma will be held on Saturday, January 7th, 2017 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church, Market Street. Officiating will be Rev. Diana Francis assisted by other ministers of the gospel. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Gardens, Soldier Road.
Precious memories will forever be in the hearts of her husband Leonard Shields and two sons Marlon McKenzie and Truman Shields. Four adopted daughters Valrene (Waylon) McHardy, Margarette Bodie, Janice Rolle, and Jennifer McKenzie and one daughter-in-law Almekia McKenzie. Four sisters Miriam Bodie, Esthermae Bodie, Nathalee McKenzie, Alvara Armbrister and one sister-in-law Rose McKenzie. Twenty-three nieces including: Michie Bodie-Zanetta McBride, Vera (Anthony) Newbold, Shemika Brice, Allison (Franklyn) Knowles, Sherrlyn (Ally) Forbes. Twenty nephews including: Michael Munnings, Levan Rolle, Jeffrey Archer, Kevin and Clinton Armbrister, Philip and Kennedy Bodice. Numerous grand nieces and nephews; numerous to mention. Many relatives and friends including Deanne, Brenda, Ruthmae, and Patrice McKenzie, Minnie and Paymond Smith, the Patton family, John Wright and family, the Burrows family, McKenzie family, First Baptist Church family, the Barraterre Black Point, Staniel and farmers Cay, Exuma, Jacaranda Street Pinewood Community.
Viewing will be held in the Perpetual Suite at Restview Memorial Mortuary and Crematorium Ltd., Robinson and Soldier Roads on Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and at the church on Saturday from 9:30 am until service time.
