A Funeral Service for Mrs. Barbara Mae Malone, aged 84, of Nassau, N.P., The Bahamas, and formerly of Cherokee Sound, Abaco, who passed away at her home in Nassau on Saturday, 14th January, 2017, will be held at Ebenezer Methodist Church, East Shirley Street, Nassau on Saturday, 21st January, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
Rev. Jerry Hilbun, Minister of Ebenezer Methodist Church, Major Jean-Miller Cantave and Captain Joan Cantave, The Salvation Army, will officiate and interment will follow in Ebenezer Methodist Cemetery, East Shirley Street, Nassau.
Mrs. Malone will be remembered by many as a member of the staff of The Nassau Shop, Bay Street.
Mrs. Malone was pre-deceased by her husband, Mr. Bertram R. Malone; her sisters, Mrs. Annie Pinder and Mrs. Audrey Bledsoe both of Florida.
She is survived by a son, Andrew (Bonnie) Malone; three daughters, Margaret (Johnnie) Malone, Sueann (Mustafa) Gogus of Istanbul, Turkey and Joan (Leslie) Darville; three grandsons, Dallas ( Ashley) Malone of Canada, Brandon (Diana) Malone and Doruk Gogus; two granddaughters, Shania and Chelsea Darville and one great-granddaughter, Isla Mae Malone of Canada; cousins, Beverley (Eddie) Munro of Florida and Dianne (Harry) Dunn; brother-in-law, William (Billy) Kemp of Spanish Wells; other relatives and friends including Patria Higgs, Beverley Curry, caregiver, Eunice Whyms & Family; many nieces and nephews. The staff of United Shipping Company Nassau Limited , the Officers, soldiers and friends of The Salvation Army and Ebenezer Methodist Church Men’s and Focus Groups.
Special thanks to Dr. Christine E. Chin and Dr. Kevin Moss. The nurses and staff of the Intensive Care Unit of Doctors Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital. Nurse Kris Wring and the nurses of Angels Elite.
