Funeral Service for the Late Sandra Marina North, aged 80 years of #8 Poitier Avenue, Boyd Subdivision, Chippingham, will be held on Saturday, 11th March, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Native Baptist Cathedral, Meeting Street. Rev. Dr. Reginald Ferguson assisted by Rev. Ekron Pratt, Rev. Ellerston Smith, and Rev. Lindsay Williamson will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Meeting Street.
She was predeceased by her Mother (Mary Thurston-Outten), Grandmother (Blanche Hanna-Thurston), Great-grandmother (Georgiana Armbrister-Moss), Aunts and Uncles: Agnes Thurston McIntosh and Sylvia Thurston Ingraham, Arthur Thurston, Sr., Henry James Thurston II and Samuel Barnabas Thurston; Survived by Son, Brian Cartwright; Daughter-in-law, Lisa Cartwright; Brother, Ronnie Rahaming (Peaches); Sister, Rosalind Watkins; Sister-in-law, Marina North McCartney; Aunt, Barbara Thurston; grandchildren; nieces and nephews; numerous cousins including, Henry (Lil Hench) Thurston Jr.; a large extended family of relatives, including the Thurston family of Nassau Street, the children (spouses), grandchildren (spouses), and great-grandchildren (spouses) of late Arthur Thurston, Sr., late Henry James Thurston II, late Samuel Barnabas Thurston, late Agnes Thurston McIntosh, and late Sylvia Thurston Ingraham; the North family, formerly of West Street, the Cartwright family, including Angela Cartwright; Host of Other Relatives and Friends who benefited from her care including Stacy Carey, Desi and Sherry Moncur, and others; all the staff of Bethel Brothers Morticians, family of the late Jane Bethel, Kendal and Ruby Nottage and family, Alfred Sears, Esq. and family, the Huylers, Grants, Mackeys, Roberts, Smiths, and other families of Nassau/McQuay Street/Quarry Mission/Infant View Road/Tyler Street neighborhoods; Joel Adderley, the Hannas, Aranhas, Sherman-Chea, Pinders, and Boyds families of Poitier Avenue; Patsy Colebrooke and Family, Nicola Drake, Darcy Miller (caregiver), Cynthia ‘Mother’ Pratt and family, Mr. Floyd Watkins, Mr. John Curry, Rev. Sandra was a people’s person; she was a lover of people and made friends easily. She was very well-loved by all who knew her. She will be sorely missed by all.

Friends may pay their last respects at the Sir Lynden Pindling Convention Centre (PLP Headquarters) Farrington Road, on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
