Funeral Service for Mr. William George Lopez, age 90 years, of Palmetto Point, Eleuthera and formerly of Benzy Hill, Long Island, will be held on Saturday, March 18th, 2017, 9:00 a.m., at Holy Cross Anglican Church, Highbury Park. Officiating will be Canon Norman Lightbourne assisted by other members of the Clergy. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, John F. Kennedy Drive and Gladstone Road.
Left to mourn his passing are his 3 Sisters: Olga Deveaux, Evelyn Gibson, and Margaret Smith; 1 Sister in Law Minister Edna Lopez; 7 Nieces: Esther Mortimer (and husband Bishop Samuel Mortimer), Anita Bodie (and husband Carlton Bodie), Ava Thompson (and husband Minister Harrison Thompson), Donna Horner, Maria Woodside of Miami Fla., Joanna (and David) Johnson and Angela Lopez of Vero Beach Florida; 19 Nephews: William Bill Adderley, Glen and David Thompson, George (and wife Margaret) Heastie, Eugene Gibson, Nial (and wife Regina) Gibson, Alonzo (and wife Sandra) Lopez, Vernon Lopez, Calvin Lamon (and wife Grace) Lopez, Stephen Smith, Randolph (and wife Patrice) Smith, Wendell (and wife Harriette) Smith, Brian (and wife Anne) Smith, Daniel and Christopher Smith, Joseph, Daniel, John and Jonathon Deveaux; 15 Grand Nieces: Tonia Moss, Dr. Shamanique Bodie Williams, Sharana Bodie, Dr. Chrissie Thompson, Shacka, Abigail and Ashley Thompson, Shanna and Valgena Gibson, Vernicka Lopez, Eman, Evita and Lara Lopez, Cyn Venet and Noa Lopez; 14 Grand Nephews: Sean, Rodrigo, Demetrius and Difidel Thompson, Perry Mortimer, Valdez and McKeen Bodie, Ramon Gibson, Nigel and Renaldo Gibson, William Heastie, Harrison Thompson Jr., Gabriel and Shimon Lopez; Cousins: Joshua, Roy and Freeman Dean, Moses and Lennox Major; other family friends and relatives including Angela Campbell and family, Cyril Gibson, Gilbert Smith, Shelby White Levy, Eileen Cooper, Camilla Adair, Ruth Sands, Ellen Gibson & family, Katie Culmer & family of Savannah Sound, Theresa Thompson of Palmetto Point, the Hon. Philip Bethel, other family, friends and relatives too numerous to mention including the entire North and South Palmetto Point communities.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Cedar Crest Funeral Home and Crematorium Ltd, Robinson and Baillou Hill Roads, on Friday from 12noon to 6:00 p.m., and at the church on Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
