Funeral Service for

Matriarch Carolyn Eloise Thompson-Strachan, 84

of Johnson Terrace, who died on Saturday, September 23rd, 2017 will be held on Saturday, October 7th, at 10:00 a.m. at The Salvation Army Church, Mackey Street. Officiating will be Major Jean-Miller Cantave, assisted by Captain Joan Cantave. Interment will be made in Ebenezer Cemetery, Shirley Street.

Predeceasing Carolyn were her parents and also her siblings Willie, Marie, Franlyn and Benjamin.

Left to continue her legacy, her faith are her Children: Lester and Lyn (Otis); Siblings: Winnifred (Joan), Donald (Velvy), Lillian, Joseph, Agnes,Reuben, Deidre, Marva and Dennis; Grandchildren: Ryan (Candace), Terron, Letitia, Karmesha, Owyn, Jessica, Kayle (Andrica) and Otishka; Great grandchildren: Zion, Lily and Levi (on the way); Nieces and Nephews: Margaret (William), Brian, Shawna (Eric), Janice, Michael, Lynda (Godfrey), Deborah, Arnold (Shavonne) and Charlotte, Alison, Christine (Brian) and Dorothy (Derrick), Karen (Glen), Cheryl, Lester (Beverley), Wendy, Kevin (Camille), Neil (Mikka), Ian (Celina), Donovan (Shervonne), Samara (Owen), Elbert and many more; Numerous Grand, Great Grand Nieces and Nephews; Numerous cousins including: Archer Thompson, Kathleen (Ulies), Bertha, Louis, Helena, and the families of Vandeline, Sylvia, Oscar, Leroy, Dorothea, Aunts Louise, Prescola, Maude, Rose, Cora, Adrianna, Uncles Edward and Brad, “Cousin Eva” and “ Cousin Vera”; Dear Friends: Ruth, Kay, Dorothy, Dian, Gertrude, Mary, Hilda, Vandora, Jacqueline, Freda, Eleanor, Claudia, Shirley, Brenda, Diana, Maria, Muriel, Euphemia, Hazel, Joyce, Rita, The Salvation Army Family worldwide, especially the Home Leauge ladies, The Malone, Begley, Fisk, Mason, Blaise and Cantave Families, Cole Thompson Pharmacies family, Women’s World Day of Prayer Group, Queen Mary’s Sewing Guild, Lighthouse Quilters and The Horticultural Society of The Bahamas

Viewing will be held at Clarke’s Funeral Home & Crematorium on East West Highway on Friday, October 6th from 11:00am to 6:00pm and on Saturday from 9:00am at the church until service time.
