Funeral Service for
Matriarch Maretta Albury, 87
a resident of Graham Drive, Yellow Elder & formerly of Chester’s, Acklins, will be held at The New Bethlehem Baptist Church, Independence Drive, on Saturday, 28th October, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Everette J. Brown, assisted by Rev. Sheila Brown, Rev. Cecil Higgs, Evangelist Levinna Rolle, Deacon Timothy Bailey, Deacon Robert Farquharson & other Ministers of the Gospel. Interment follows in Woodlawn Gardens, Soldier Road.
Left to cherish her precious memories are her 6 children: Minister Berthamae Gardiner, Bernadette Asonia Albury, Robert Gilbert, George, Stephen and Dennis Albury; 6 granddaughters: Jammean Knowles, Lashanti McIntosh, Lapatra Brown, Nacara Gilbert, Minichaka Deveaux and Nia Albury; 14 grandsons: Kevin, Rahming, Jevon Knowles, Gino & Garron Gardiner, Cardinal, Robert Jr., Navado and Rashad Gilbert, Andrew & Damien Deveaux, Jayvon Edwards, Givano Clyde, Qwasi and Niagh Albury; 1 stepson: Mitchell Albury; 3 step daughters: Kimble Rolle, Janiska Major and Janet Williams; 13 great grandchildren: Jodi and Keison Blackwood, Jevany Knowles, Garanique and Jasmaine Gardiner, G’Zarha McGregor, Jamaro and Kizzia Humes, Salem and Jalaih Brown, Kadisha and Cardinal Gilbert Jr., Andrew Deveaux Jr. and Qwasi Albury Jr.; 4 great great grandchildren: Angalique, Andrew Jaden and Joshua Rahming and Keisa Blackwood; 2 sisters: Pearline Adderley and Evangaline McDonald; 1 brother: Jerry Meadows; 2 sisters-in-law: Olena and Gretta Meadows; 3 daughters-in-law: Bettymae Deveaux, Beatrice Gilbert and Nicky Albury; 15 nieces: Patricia and Johnny Clarke, Karen and Elvin Golebrook, Vashty McDonald, Theresa Holton, Willamae McKenzie, Jacklyn Bain Guerria, Judith Bain, Mary, Gerelene and Sandra Meadows, Pearline Dames, Winnifred Farrington, Elizabeth, Janice and Jan Meadows; 16 nephews: Leo and Aretta Thurston, Ephriam, Clinton and Wilfred Meadows, Peter, Trevor and Craig Meadows, Leon Thompson, Ken, Kristin, Sheldon and Vaughn Meadows; 50 grand nieces and grand nephews including: Dereace Gibson Knowles, Lakisca, Loretta, Crystal, Anwar, Celeste, Leechea and Loche Thurston, Maria and Domonicia Nesbitt, Jonathan Clarke Kr., Bianca, Rory, Gary Munnings; other relatives & friends including: Eunis, Dederea, Deloramae, Derica and family, Lilian Rahming & family, Natalie Morley, Hazel Hamilton & family, Wilfred Ferguson & family, Peggy Dean & family, Free Modern Mason Cynthia Chapter 25 family, Church of God of Prophecy, Palm Tree family, Bishop & Minister Michelle & family, Pastor Cecil & Sis. Friends my pay their last respects at Demeritte’s Funeral Home, Market Street, from 12-6:00 p.m. on Friday & on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
