Funeral Service for the late Michael Leo Simms, age 74 years of Dolphin Drive, Highland Park, Nassau, The Bahamas, who died at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Mankato, Minnesota on Wednesday, 1st August, 2018, will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Shirley Street, Nassau, on Saturday, 18th August, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
Officiating will be Father Anselm Russell and interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Michael was predeceased by his parents Ivan and Gertrude Simms, brother Martin Simms, and sisters Agnes Lehman and Maria Simms.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife: Sheila Simms; son: Troy Simms; daughters: Tiffany and Tanya Simms; daughter-in-law: Carrie Simms; grandsons: Antonio O’Brien and Rowan Simms, brothers: Larry, Paul (Kathy) and Terry (Linda) Simms; sisters: Elaine Malone, Angela Simms, Rose (Yvon) Dauchot, Gloria (Helmut) Bauer and Alice (Dave) Madeley; brothers-in-law: Larry (Nancy) Russell, Justin (Simone) Russell, Andrew (Erica) Russell; sisters-in-law: Yvette (Kevin) Albury and Carmella (Ricardo) Scott, and many nieces and nephews. He will also be sadly missed by many close friends including Neville and Barbara Albury, Sean Hall, Jimmie and Lori Lowe & Family, Steve Minns, Samuel “Bookie” Johnson, Wesley and Sylvia Sturrup, Stafford and Delores Munnings, and Kristina and Allan Murray & Family, and neighbors Father Warren and Mrs. Thelma Rolle & Family, Dr. Rhonda Chipman-Johnson, and Mr. and Mrs. Micklewhite.
The Simms family would like to express our gratitude to all who extended love and support during our time of bereavement. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Bahamas Down Syndrome Center, P.O. Box CB-13207, Village Rd, Nassau, Bahamas, in memory of Michael Simms.
