Funeral Service for MRS. EMILY THOMPSON-KNOWLES Age 74 years of Alocasia Avenue, Gardens Hills #2 and formerly of Wemyss Bight, Eleuthera who died on Tuesday, November 20th, 2018 will be held on Sunday, December 9th, 2018 at 1:00pm at Living Faith Seventh Day Adventist Church, Old Trail Road. Officiating will be Pastor Hugh Roach; assisted by Pastor Craig Williams, Elder Steven McBean and Elder Isaac Johnson. Interment will be made in Woodlawn Gardens Cemetery, Woodlawn Way and Soldier Road.

Emily was predeceased by her Husband, Edward Knowles “Brother Ed” in 2001.

Nem as she was affectionately will live on in the hearts of her  Son: Wayde Thompson; Adopted Daughter: Seantia Burnside; Grandsons: Corey and Clever Thompson; Great Grand: Terrell Davis; Brothers: Thomas Bodie and George Thompson; Sisters: Florence Coleby, Franceta Thompson and Sandra Johnson; Sisters-in-law: Rosemary Bodie and Nellie Thompson; Brother-in-law: James Johnson; Nieces: Kim Curtis & Deborah Thompson (whom she raised as daughters), Khatia Thompson, Sharnique Miller, Shavon Burnside, Lashan Sherman, Latalia Dames, Jessica Thompson & Tamika Bodie. Nephews: Cadrington, Stephen and Antonio Coleby; Gary Bodie, Dominic Thompson, Sean Burnside; George Jr., Jordan, Christopher, Jason and Texas Thompson.

Numerous grand and great grand nieces and nephews including: Shakell Curtis-Rolle & Shameiko Curtis, Renaya Munnings, Kristin and Kajah Thompson, Justin Dames, Garanique & Amber Bodie; Dillian, Dejanique and Domiah Thompson; Jaygeira and Gemmyah Thompson; Jordan Jr., Jayvin and Kailyn Thompson; Sharice, Sarja, Shelby & Katherine Coleby; Talvin, Daytwon, Donte’ and Turquoise Dames; and Aldrin “AJ” Woodside Jr.  Godchildren: Crystal Rolle, Crystal Miller and Lamont.

Numerous friends and relatives including: Lynette McPhee (who was like a daughter); The Honourable  Brensil and Mrs. Cynthia Rolle, Barbara Dorsette and Family, Samantha Wilkinson, Thelma Miller, Donnamae Mackey, Kym Scavella, Jennifer Wilson, Louise Thompson (Eleuthera); Mr. Hubert Grant, Mr. D. Paul Riley, Wilfred, Angela and Lavardo Ferguson and Anastacia Fergson-Bansie (who was like a daughter); Martin & Violet Grant (Harbour Island); Pastor H.A. Roach, Pastor Mark Ewing and the Living Faith Seventh Day Adventist Church family, including the Pathfinders Club and the White Dove Martial Arts Institute;  The Wemyss’ Bight Association (Nassau Branch); The Garden Hill #2 Community; the Wemyss Bight Community, and Calvin Jolly. The nurses and doctors on the Female Medical 1 Ward of PMH and the Unity Center of Light family. The entire families of the late: Raymond Lloyd of Barretarre Exuma, John Hall-Brown, Thomas and Broomfield Young of Florida; Jefford Smith of Waterford Eleuthera, Sarah Mackey, Elizabeth Curtis, Beatrice Smith and Jeremiah Thompson and others too numerous to mention. If your name was not mentioned it was not intentional and we sincerely apologize. We thank you and know that you too were touched by Emily’s life.

Viewing will be held on Friday, December 7th at Clarke’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, East West Highway from 12:00 Noon to 5:00pm, on Saturday, November 8th from 12:00 Noon to 4:00pm, and on Sunday, December 9th from 12:00 Noon at the Church until service time.
