A funeral service for the late Nathaniel James French Jr., age 93 of Village Green Road, Nassau, The Bahamas, who died peacefully at Doctors Hospital, Shirley Street, Nassau, on Friday, 24th November, 2017, will be held at Christ Church Cathedral, George Street, Nassau, on Saturday, 6th January, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.
The Very Reverend Patrick L. Adderley, Dean of Nassau, will officiate and interment will follow in The Garden of Remembrance, Christ Church Cathedral, George Street, Nassau.
Mr. French was predeceased by his parents, Nathaniel James French Sr., and Gwendoline French, his sisters, Gwendoline Maude French and Agnes Claibel Evans and her husband George Evans.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Edith French; son, Nathaniel James French III; daughters, Victoria Anne Roberts and Gwendoline Eileen French; grandsons, Darren Anthony Roberts and Nathaniel James French IV (Jamie); granddaughters, Michelle Anne Stevenson and Joanna Caroline Lowe; brother, Sydney French; son-in-law, Michael Craig Roberts; daughter-in-law, Janet Caroline French (née Marsden); grandsons-in-law, Patrick Cyril Stevenson and Simon Gregory Lowe; granddaughter-in-law, Ashley Marie Roberts (née Hall); sister-in-law, Ivy Caroline French (née Agnew); cousin, Norma Lightbourn (née Perpall); great grandsons, Connor Patrick Stevenson and William Craig Stevenson; great granddaughter, Sofia Marie Roberts; nieces, Linda Susan Sauer (née Evans), Joan Ann Newbold (née Evans-Predeceased), Maureen French and Patricia French; adopted grandson, Jacob Evans and many other relatives and close friends.
Instead of flowers the family request that donations be sent to the Bahamas National Trust, P.O. Box N. 4105, Nassau, Bahamas Humane Society, P.O. Box N. 242, Nassau or a charity of your choice in memory of Mr. Nathaniel J. French, Jr.
