Funeral Service for Mavis Meldora Wells, age 83, of Gray’s, Long Island will be held on Saturday July 28th 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church, Buckley’s, Long Island. Officiating will be Canon Harry Ward. Interment will follow in Gray’s Public Cemetery, Gray’s, Long Island.
She is survived by her Husband: Robert; her Four Daughters: Mizpah Wells, Madeline Smalley, Cheryl and Janet Wells; Nine Grandchildren: Nicholas Carroll (Miranda), Tammy Sands (Desmond), Loca and Kevin Ried, Lee Smalley (Janesse), Krista and Thomas Smalley, Siobhan Hall and Aimee Wells; Nine Great Grandchildren: Dante, Desirea and Nicolette Sands, Kaitlyn Treco, Elizabeth and Sandy Ried, Wyatt, Walker and Weston Carroll; One brother: Maxwell ‘Mackey’ Knowles; One sister: Isabelle Knowles; Sisters-in-law: Barbara, Darlene and Adeline Knowles, Regina Catherine and Marilyn Wells and Alma Lowe; Brothers-in-law: Nigel, Norris, Maxwell, Eric and George Wells and Taris Pelecanos; Uncles: Jimmy Knowles (Alda) and Ivan Knowles; Numerous Nieces and Nephews including: Chrystal Lowe and Simone Wells; Two Adopted Sons: Rudolph Moree and Arthur Morris; Four Adopted Daughters: Nurse Joyce Bryee, Annie Minnis, Paula Wells and Letta Fox. Viewing will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church, Buckley’s, Long Island on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday.
