Vaughan Vernal Tynes, 69
a resident of Rosedale Street off Mackey Street, will be held at Chapel on the Hill, Tonique Williams Darling Highway, on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Genius Wells. Cremation follows.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 36 years Minister Carolyn (Kay); one daughter: Michelle; two sons: Ishmael (Linzie) and Lavardo (Chantell); grand children: Dachele, Darrin, Roosevelt III, Anesia, Isaiah, Alecia, Ashley, Jasmine, Lashae; great-grand children: Michael, Mitchell, Michele, Micahi, Darrin and Gem Strachan; his father: Chauncey Tynes Sr.; two sisters: Willamae (Roylston) and Sheila Martin; two brothers: Rev. Gregory (Margaret) and Kirkland (Ollimae) Tynes of Charlotte, North Carolina; six aunts: Elva Tynes, Helen Dean, Rodella Tynes, Louise Tynes of Logwood, Florida, Louise Sutherland and Edith Dean; three uncles: Aidan Tynes, Ivan Collie, Joshua Dean and Clifford Sutherland and numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte’s Funeral Home, Market Street, from 12-6:00 p.m. on Friday & on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
