Funeral service for the late William Vesey Sweeting age 72 years, affectionately called “Uncle Willy” of Mount Pleasant Village who died on 13th July 2019, will be held on Saturday 27th July 2019 at 10:00 a.m., at New Light Ministries, Faith Avenue South. Officiating will be Rev. Antonio O. Beckford Sr., Pastor of New Light Ministries, assisted by other Ministers of Religion. Cremation will follow. Left to cherish his precious memories is his Wife of 32 years Marcella Carey-Sweeting; One Daughter: Monique Sweeting; Four Sons: Javan ( Rita) Sweeting, Dale, Cordero and William Sweeting; Two Stepdaughters: Shenika Ashwood and Monique Swain; Ten Grandchildren: Jayvion Gabriel, K’enasia Sweeting, Javania, Jayden, Javan Sweeting, Alicia, Achasia Ashwood, Breanna, Vince Jr., and Ethan; One Sister: Ivy Sweeting-Butler; Two Sisters-In-Law: Pauline Carey and Family and Beulah Sweeting; Thirteen Nieces: Paulette Butler, Sherry Miller, Esther Dixon, Glendeana Storr, Clara Lowe, Stephanie Sweeting, Theresa Johnson, Florinda Farrington, Sue Black, Linda Black, Betty Long, Prudence Black and Nathalie Sweeting; Seven Nephews: Collingwood Sweeting, Daryl Storr, Paul (Lendire) Butler, Anthony (Valdez) Sweeting, Roston (Eleanor) Sweeting, Charles and Demarco Sweeting; Grandnieces and Grandnephews too numerous to mention. Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Newbold Brothers Funeral Chapel, Palmetto Avenue & Acklins Street off Market and East Streets on Friday from 10:00 a.m., until 5:00 p.m., and on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m., until service time.
